About the Event

The annual Congress is the biggest and the most important activity of the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF). The congress brings together 250-300 pharmacy students and recent graduates from dozens of countries to meet and share their views and experiences. The programme of the congress consists of the IPSF General Assembly, workshops, Education Symposium, Scientific Symposium, poster exhibition and cheerful social events.

The General Assembly is the highest decision making body of the federation. Workshops are dealing with IPSF activities on the fields of pharmacy education, professional development and public health. It is also specific workshops designated for IPSF Contact Persons or Student Exchange Officers.

The topics of the symposia are in this year New Challenges for the Pharmacy Profession and Quality of Pharmaceuticals - Idealism vs Reality for Education and Scientific Symposium, respectively. The topic of the poster exhibition is Counterfeit Drugs.
Traditional social events include among others the international night with action-packed shows from different countries, Development Fund charity auction collecting funds for IPSF Development Fund (DF) and of course the glamorous gala night on the last night of the congress.

The International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF) was founded in 1949 by eight pharmacy student associations in London.
